BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER

The Shevchenko Museum cordially invites you to the opening of Birds of a Feather Flock Together, an exhibition of art by Ukrainian artist Andrii Palval, at 2:30 pm, on Sunday, September 27.

Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and currently living in St. Catherines, Ontario, artist, Andrii Palval, is known for his studio painting and his large-scale murals. Essentially a visual storyteller, through figurative and symbolic imagery he explores themes of identity, migration, memory, human relationships, and collective experience. Via portraiture and stylised forms, he opens a dialogue by creating a balance of realism with abstraction

A graduate of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine in 2006, Mr. Palval has been working as a professional visual artist and muralist from 2001. His artistic vision is deeply shaped by his cultural roots and personal journey. The experience of displacement and living between cultures has strengthened his attention to inner resilience, dignity, and silent strength — themes which subtly resonate throughout his work.

From 2014 to the present, Andrii Palval has participated internationally in group and solo exhibits and has executed personal and commissioned projects in South America, Canada, China, Europe, Pakistan, the USA, and Ukraine.
