Learn how to make a Magpie motanka - a handcrafted doll, imbued with beauty and positive energy. The magpie motanka is an ancient Ukrainian talisman which guards and protects the home and brings the family goodness, prosperity and wealth. It is believed that she is the bearer of interesting news which she carries on her tail. The doll is made from remnants of cloth and assembled without the use of a needle or scissors. You can make it for your own family, or pass it on as a gift.

An accomplished maker of the dolls, Nadiia Voloshchuk will guide you through all the steps of transforming plain materials of everyday life into a work of art.
All materials will be provided. (fabric, ribbons, decorations).
